Merit-Based Selection

How the Selection Process Works

There are 6 steps. Each step tests a different skill. Selection is based on test scores only — not on college, background, or contacts. Only the top 50 scorers are selected.

Who can apply?

Indian Citizen

Open to Indian citizens from anywhere in India.

10+2 Qualification

Minimum qualification required is 10+2 or equivalent.

No Restrictions

No restriction on college, branch, or background. Anyone passionate about technology can apply.

The 6 Steps

A clear, merit-based path to the fellowship.

01
Step 1

Registration

Create your student profile with your academic details and contact information. Pay the ₹2,000 assessment fee to confirm your spot for the tests. Keep your academic documents ready. The fee is non-refundable, and paying it does not guarantee selection.

02
Step 2

Round 1 — IQ/Aptitude Assessment

An online test of logical reasoning, maths, and analytical thinking. You must answer accurately within the time limit. How to prepare: practice aptitude questions and manage your time per question.

03
Step 3

Round 2 — Screening

We check your academic background and your genuine interest in technology. There is nothing to memorise here — be honest about why you want to join.

04
Step 4

Round 3 — Technical Round

Basic computer science, programming logic, and basic knowledge of AI/ML or Cybersecurity. How to prepare: revise programming fundamentals and read up on basic AI concepts.

05
Step 5

Round 4 — Interview

A 1-on-1 session with an evaluator covering communication skills, problem-solving approach, and attitude toward learning new technologies. How to prepare: speak clearly and explain your thinking out loud.

06
Step 6

Final Selection

Scores from all rounds are totalled. The 50 highest-scoring candidates are selected for the free 6-month residential program in Noida.

After each round

Your result for each round appears on your candidate dashboard. Cleared candidates move to the next step automatically.

The assessment fee

A one-time, non-refundable ₹2,000 assessment fee is required at registration. It covers your evaluation process only. Paying it does not guarantee selection.

Not selected?

If you do not make the Top 50, you may still get an InternBoot internship based on your test scores — a working start to your career in technology.
